Established in 1990, Gem Kingdom was founded by Johanna Titselaar and Bernard Jongstra whose previous occupations were a far cry from what they are doing today. The former painter and ex-musician respectively, envisioned Gem Kingdom to be an original line of jewellery that combines unusual materials with luxurious style.

They unify materials like gemstones, sterling silver, 18-karat gold, plastics and mother-of-pearls, to form jewellery that breathe individuality; and their unique combination and fusion of materials almost adds a personal touch to their　creations.

Not only is Gem Kingdom available in more than 10 countries all over the world, they also make special collections for well-known fashion labels like Celine and Diesel.

While I’m not a big fan of gothic-inspired jewellery, Gem Kingdom sets itself apart with their attractive head-turning pieces that have clean finishes and interesting details.
